There are lots of organisations offering advice, guidance and support for families with children. The following are some examples, but there are many more and staff at the family centre will be able to help you navigate your way to those that might be able to offer you and your family some support. Qwell
Qwell provides online emotional wellbeing and mental health support. They have a team of accredited counsellors and emotional wellbeing practitioners who can provide free, safe and anonymous online support and counselling.
Barnado’s
Barnado’s provide a range of services to help and support families across the UK, working with organisations and professionals so that children get the best start in life.
NSPCC
Support and tips to help you keep children safe. From advice on children’s mental health to staying safe online, support for parents and what to do if you’re worried about a child.
Baby Basics
Baby Basics is a volunteer-led project aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby.
Your Sanctuary
Your Sanctuary is a confidential Surrey based charity supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse. They offer sanctuary, support and empowerment to anyone affected by Domestic Abuse.
Surrey Crisis fund
The Surrey Crisis Fund is a discretionary fund run by Surrey County Council. It has been running since 1 April 2013, and was formerly known as the Local Assistance Scheme. It provides financial help to Surrey residents who have nowhere else to turn in an emergency or following a disaster. It also can provide assistance to set up a home in the community where no other funds or resources are available.

Offering advice on a range of subjects, including: benefits, work, debt and money, housing, law and courts, and more.
HomeStart
Home-Start works with families in communities right across the UK. Starting in the home, their approach is as individual as the people they are helping. No judgement, it is just compassionate, confidential help and expert support.
Foodbank
The Runnymede foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.
Jigsaw
Jigsaw provides good quality, pre-owned clothing, toys, and equipment for children aged 0-5, through the generous donations of the local community. Families can be referred by a registered local professional and items can be delivered or collected by arrangement.
Samaritans
An online chat service, providing emotional support to people in the moment, even if they are unable to share their feelings out loud.
National Autistic Society
The UK’s leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families.
Salvation Army
Motivated by their Christian faith the Salvation army offer practical support and services to all who need them, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Their work includes: homelessness, modern slavery, poverty, addiction, debt advice, unemployment and isolation.
Mind Matters
Mind Matters provide talking therapies to adults (17+) registered with a GP in Surrey who are experiencing common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and stress.
Family Learning
Family Learning courses are free for parents and carers to help you give your child a positive start in life, and to help support your child’s learning and development at home and school.
